Lockman-Brooks Marketing Services is headed by principal Linda Lockman-Brooks. Linda got her start in marketing on the corporate level with Trans World Airlines (TWA). She honed her account management skills on the agency side at J. Walter Thompson and went on to manage marketing organizations at American Express, NationsBank and Duke Energy. She's worked on product development, brand management, research and public relations for brands such as Close-up Toothpaste, Listerine, and Scott Paper. Her American Express responsibilities included introducing the American Express Gift Cheque and the management of the classic Karl Malden campaign for American Express Travelers Cheques. She utilized her brand knowledge in the financial services and utility industries during the merger years for NationsBank, now Bank of America, and Duke Power, now Duke Energy. Linda understands the power of a brand and how to use it effectively to manage communications.
In 2005, the firm's practice was expanded to include leadership development and executive coaching services. Linda is adept at developing and managing her coaching relationships with executives at many levels. Her extensive skills in strategic communications initiatives within merger and changing environments are enhanced by her ability to bridge diverse cultural perspectives.
"Linda did a great job in the role of Administrator of the Small Business Participation Program for the construction of the Charlotte Arena. She was strategic and made the right decisions to analyze the market and evaluate the communications needs for building awareness of the new SBE program. Linda's team exceeded the established participation goal and the Hunt organization's association with Lockman-Brooks Marketing Services has been a success in every way."
