Civic and Business Engagement
Significant engagement in the community is a core value for Lockman-Brooks Marketing Services. A mentor to young professionals in the marketing and communications sector, Linda serves on the board of directors of the Charlotte Chamber and has also served on the Executive Committee of the Chamber. Linda is also a member of the Latin American Chamber and Women Executives.
Arts and Culture
Linda has served as the board chair for the Children's Theatre of Charlotte and the Arts and Science Council. She was a key influencer during the fundraising and ultimate establishment of ImaginON: The Joe and Joan Center, a partnership between the Children's Theatre and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library. In 2013, Linda was co-chair of the Arts & Science Annual Fund Drive which raised over 9 million dollars for the cultural sector.
The firm's business and civic achievements have been recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal, LaNotica – the Spanish Language Newspaper, The Charlotte Post, and Business Leader Magazine. In 2012, Linda was named one of the 50 most influential women in Charlotte by the Mecklenburg Times Newspaper and also as a 2012 Catalyst Award honoree by UPTOWN Magazine.
